School bell rings earlyStudents at Utica Free Academy will have to get out of bed 45 minutes earlier than they have been in the habit of doing.
Fire destroyed the school on Kemble Street three weeks ago and while it is being rebuilt, most of the classes will be held in the Advanced School on the northwest corner of Elizabeth and Charlotte streets. Classes there will begin at 8 a.m. Classes in the academy began at 8:45 a.m.

I really enjoyed the UFA tour. We lucked out with having a guide who was a 1989 UFA grad. Some of us got to sneak into some off-limits areas where we saw the choir room and the little theater.
